Welcome to week 3 of the One Room Challenge- I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by! I am in serious panic mode as there is still so much left to do and I envy the designers who are making over just one space. In the bathroom, there were signs of mold, wet floors after demo which implied there might be a leak, delays, and unexpected expenses which have led to an increase in the budget. With renovations, nothing is set in stone, and almost always expect the budget to be affected. Nonetheless, with all the hiccups, there has progress- like in that phone snap above, I am standing on the wood floors that have been installed in the closet. Yay! The floors are from our lovely sponsor, Lifecore Flooring. You can refer to week 1 to see the before of the closet.
Some glimpses as demolition of the bathroom was almost finished. That was the most difficult part.
And now that the demolition process is complete, concrete boards (from our lovely sponsor, (The Tile Shop) have been cut to size and placed in the shower area and after, the bathroom was also waterproofed. It’s important to waterproof the bathroom since there is a lot of moisture and you want to be sure that water doesn’t leak through walls and cause mold or other damage. To avoid leaks and excess moisture build-up, take care to waterproof your bathroom wall, floor and ceiling. If you ever have to waterproof, this product is great!
There are boxes everywhere with deliveries from our amazing sponsors. Cheyenne loves helping me to unpack and check out all the fun pieces that I can’t wait to incorporate into the spaces. O.K., quick recap, demolition is complete, keeping fingers crossed that there will be no more unforeseen issues and that the bathroom will be completely tiled by the end of the week. The closet has been painted, floors installed, but the bathroom still needs to get painted, the lighting installed and the list goes on… I usually share behind the scenes on Instagram stories, so you can check those out too and send me a prayer or two that I get it all completed in time :-).
