This year, since I already had bows from last year, i decided i would do bows again this year. I love reusing what I already have and this tree was so much fun to put together. I have been adding fabric trim to my trees for years and I find it’s a great way to add depth and fun to a tree. I used fabric trim to fill in the the areas where I didn’t have a bow. For the tree skirt, I actually layered it with a thrifted gingham tablecloth(i thrifted it a couple years ago). I love the playfulness and nostalgic vibe it adds to the tree.
Also, this year i found myself gravitating to red, so there’s lots of red and pink. Cheyenne is repping the color palette beautifully in her outfit:-). We were actually headed to her brother’s performance at his school’s winter concert.

I noticed that paper chains are trending this Christmas, but if you’ve been here for awhile, you know that I’ve always been a fan and have been using them for years. I still have some foam ones I made when the boys were little and before Cheyenne was born!

I will be sharing our Christmas home tour very soon, but I think the playroom deserved its own post. Winter break start for the children on Friday and I can’t wait! Wishing you all the best this holiday season. x
