I know many of us are buried in snow and cannot wait for Spring to show up. In anticipation of Spring and to give my potting bench a new lease on life, I gave it a bit of tlc.
The outdoor elements had taken a toll on it over the years.
This it what it looked like after it was first built. The hubby used left over wood from our shed that was recently built to make it and I didn’t want to paint it. Instead I left the natural wood and sealed it, but it became very weathered in appearance(see above) over time.
And now for the fun part; I made sure to give it a light sanding with my favorite sander and then hosed it down to get rid of all the debris.
After waiting for it to be thoroughly dry, I painted it using a quart of Glidden exterior paint called Jungle Vine. I gave it two coats using a foam roller for a smoother finish.
Before and after
And voila. I love the results, now if Spring could just hurry up and get here! xx
